Document management for service and installation companies
SharePoint is a platform for the centralized management of documents. This platform only really adds value through the use of metadata (tags). Metadata is one of the key elements of document management in SharePoint. Thanks to metadata, finding the right documents is easy and fast.
SharePoint's search functionality is designed so that you can search for:
- filename
- title
- metadata
- type of document
- the contents of an office document
To be able to monitor the history of a document, SharePoint is equipped with version management as standard. This means that users always see the latest version of a document, but that earlier document versions also remain consultable and can even be 'restored'.
You can also easily share documents via SharePoint, both with colleagues and external parties. As a SharePoint user, you can decide for yourself whether the person you share a document with can only view, download and/or edit it.
SharePoint is a 'cloud based' platform. It allows you to also have documents available and edit them offline. As soon as you are connected again, SharePoint automatically syncs the changes to the cloud.
After all, SharePoint is fully integrated with Office 365 and can be consulted on any device.
